This photograph was taken in the Smoky Mountains. It borders Tennessee and North Carolina and are part of the Appalachian Mountains. The fog that hangs of the region is caused by the trees and plants that give off orgainic compounds with a high vapor pressure.

There is something fulfilling about capturing a moment in time�particularly as the sun makes its first or last appearance.
