The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The picture was taken in Death Valley National Park. Roaming around on the sand dunes I found the trees growing. The mesquite flat dunes are vast, but an just a small isolated area of the park.
